Thank you zenman63 but i have fixed this already.

There was an opening in the foam at the backside off the panel, i made a template of the grille with all the screws and centered it over the hole then i cut and drilled it. Got it to fit really nice even if it may not bee 100% on the stock location.

Looking for a small size amplifier now but it is hard to decide if i should buy an amp with lots of power or if a small 300w rms amp will do the job.

Ah ok good, inside that there should be another plastic cover that locks around the sub and gives you a tidy place for the first aid kit.
I will take a picture of mine.
As for amps quality is better than size, Hertz will give you high inputs and a sub out.

I have installed the plastic surrounding already. I Have also installed a lot of things like backup camera, distronic, amg exhaust, iPod kit.

Here´s my album: https://flic.kr/s/aHskzfWr6E

I have been looking at the DLS CC-500 amp. seems to be compact and powerful. I have had genesis amps earlier and they where sick. I think DLS amps is related to Genesis.

I am also considering the AMPIRE MMX1 amp. it is extremely small and quite powerful. cables is also included and that is nice.

Anyone have changed the stock amplifier but still using the stock sub? What amp did you go for?

Looks good, you could be a very handy guy, I see you have Star, that and great english is a dream!
I have star and you will not believe how basic my 2009 63 is, it did not have out side temp!
I am looking for delay on lights on, pathway lighting, and the menu for wiper delay, can you help?
As for amps mine is later with the ntg2.5 comand and dab, Tv, rear entertainment 6 disc etc and logic 7 HK and I come from car hifi but this sound is epic, more than enough.
Can you find full HK from a crashed car? swap the comand the lot.

zenman63 i was going to recommend this thread for you but then i saw that you had posted there already. common-easy-do-das-tweaks

i think all these menus can be activated in the same menu in das as the fuel remaining mod. The menu that is in german.
INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION ---> INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ---> DIAGNOSIS TO PLANT SPECIFICATIONS ---> CONTROL UNIT ADAPTATIONS ---> VARIANT CODING ---> READ CODING AND CHANGE IF NECESSARY

What is wiper delay?

anyway ordered this amp. DLS CC-500

Wiper delay, its menu I did on the Vito and Viano so you can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor, same with the auto lights on after lock, there is a menu to set the time in seconds.

I designed a bracket for fitting the amp under the rear right seat in 2mm stainless steel. Now the DLS CC-500 amp fits perfectly under the seat with enough space around it for the air to circulate. The power wires are super short because the battery is under the front right seat. Hi level signal wires are fitted, the only thing left to do is fitting the speaker wire. There was also a remote for the amp included but i do not know if i will use it or where i will put it. Once the levels and settings are dialed in there is no need for changing it.

I have wondered why that rear speaker does not have a grill. Was this a design/acoustical reason. Do you recommend cutting a hole for a speaker grilll?

This is the original subwoofer grille for those who had the h/k sub fitted from the factory. It is a genuine mercedes w164 grille. I do recomend you to fit the panel with the grill or do as i did, cut your original sidepanel and put the original grille there if you have the sub but dont have a hole there to prevent ratteling.
