High Oil Consumption - 2011 BlueTec

Bought a 2011 ML350 BlueTec with 88,700 kms or 55,000 miles. Clean PPI. Reconditioning included oil change.

After 3000 kms or 1900 miles I have added 2 liters of oil. Mostly highway driving.

Adding 1 liter of oil every 1000 miles normal?

Take the under tray off and look for leaks. You probably have an oil cooler leak if it has not been addressed.

Will do.

Am wondering of they tech didn't add the full 9 litrres of oil at the oil change during the reconditioning but instead, added only 7 litres of oil.

Because often enough the VIN will clarify differences that are crucial to answering questions. That's why I have it on my profile on the left of this message.

Is there a "VIN" archive for which I may access service records to reveal a special vehicle related issue?

Aren't all 2011 ML350 BlueTecs the same? Isn't BlueTec just a BlueTec?

Correction:

Mileage is close to 5000 kms or 3500 miles and oil added to date it 2.5 litres.

Still seems high oil consumption to me.

No oil cooler leaks found. No leaks whatsoever found.

95% of these 5000kms/3500 miles has been highway driving @ 80 mph.
