turbo boost pressure sensor ml350 ??
Looking for some help/advice on my Wifes 2010 ML350 3800 miles.
The car keeps going into limp mode, fault on my Hella Mega Macs 50 shows the code P0299, intake boost pressure low. Have had a good look at it and there does not appear to be any air leaks.
Turbo was replaced by me approx 18 months ago by me, local garage have said the boost actuator is not working, however the local turbo expert company (Turbopacs) have checked the turbo actuator and confirm thats it's working as it should (when they looked at it). Both places have very kwownagble guys, unfortunately with different opinions.
Does the turbo use the MAP sensors to get it's reading/measuement, or is there a separate turbo boost sensor somewhere.
Fingers crossed one of you guys have come across this before.

Also had the same Code p0299 which is turbo underboost. had a 2nd code aswell p0472 which is exhaust pressure too low. these came from my OBD2 Diagnostic tool
On my Merc specific tool (Carly for mercedes) i got the following
- P0670- open circuit on glow plug control module,
- P0199- Oil Temperature sensor intermittent
- Fault The output of electric fan 1 has an electrical fault or an open circuit . Check system Charge pressure control. 1 Too Low Boost Pressure , 2 Charge Pressure too high
I gone on to clean the exhaust back pressure sensor ,
I dont beleive the that oil Temp sensor could cause that, nor would the glow plug control unit . but these could be simptoms of the acual problem.
think i'll replace the exhaust back pressure sensor and the exhaust pressure sensor (they are 2 different parts )tomorrow and see what happens
any other ideas ???
