Ignition cranks unless key left in position 2 for a few seconds?
2008 ML350 The ignition cranks for a few seconds before the engine starts if I immediately turn the key to the right the way you normally would. But, if I leave the key in position 2 for a few seconds, and then turn the ignition to the right, the engine starts w/o delay or excess cranking. Any thoughts?

Please UPDATE YOUR PROFILE in USER CP to indicate the year and whether the 350 is gas or diesel and where you live.
Your problem is usually caused by a faulty fuel pump and or a faulty fuel filter.
