Preventative Maintenance/Additives

Hi,

I was just wondering, do any of you all have any knowledge of good diesel fuel/oil additives? My 2011 ML350 Bluetec is at about 87,000 miles and I am just trying to do some preventative maintenance. I've used some liqui moly products in the past to help clean the emissions system and fuel system. I've also used some Lucas products that apparently help keep the DPF clean. Do you all have any personal experiences with any products that help the longevity of a diesel? I've never owned a diesel till I bought the Bluetec and I want to keep it as long as possible. (I've already spent $4,200 on the emissions system alone this year, so I just want to keep it as clean and in proper function)

I've already done:
-Fuel Filter
-Engine Air Filters
-Oil Change (and filter... of course)
-DEF Tank cleaning and refill
-AdBlue Heater
-Upstream NOx sensor
-Brake fluid exchange

Thanks for any feedback

Here is what Mercedes has to say about additives (gasoline or diesel).

Well, that says it all. I was just under the impression that diesel fuel in the US was not as suitable for the Bluetec engines than European diesel since in Europe diesel fuel is more regulated.

Either way, interesting information. Nothing else shall touch my Merc.

I use diesel extreme. Helped with 1-2 mpg and quieted the clacking. I use a treatment every oil change which I do every 5k.

when I change the oil I use the lubrimoly engine flush as well.

155k going strong.
