No you don't have to replace the mirror. Did the blinker problem start after you replaced the tail lights?
Explain why you had to replace both tail lights.

Former Vendor of MBWorld
2010 ML should come with LED tail lights from factory. If not, then it depends how you did it. Did you have a bulb type tail lights and purchased aftermarket LED lights for the upgrade?
I suppose aftermarket tail lights were installed and blinker circuit resistance change may be the result of side mirror blinker error as wrong tail lights may be purchased.
Aftermarket LED tail lights may exist for both ML versions:
- "Bulb to LED" as upgrade to LED tail lights
- "LED to LED" as replacement of broken LED light.
Retrofitting genuine LED tail lights for W164 requires rear facelift version SAM purchase and programming.
So please explain more about tail lights replacement, it may be a root cause for blinker error.

Driver side Tail light, had brake lamp fault.... vehicle came with LED lamps original... no repair, so had to replace the whole lamp... couple of weeks later the passenger side one also went.. same issue... As for the side mirror blinker, it happened almost 1 year after the Tail lamp replacement......

Here is a copy of your DATA Card.
Since you have folding mirrors, those very thin wires to the signal indicator are subject to breakage. You have no alternative but to remove the blinker.
The wiring diag. for the blinker is only available through the right Door Cont. Module (N69/2). M21/2 is the rt. mirror and E6/6 is the blinker, all at the end of the diag.
Remove the mirror glass and then remove the two small screws holding the blinker.

A bit of addtional advice. Buy an OEM replacement turn signal assembly. I tried going the cheap China route and when I received it, it had a completely wrong connector.

Old thread but trying to fit dynamic led mirror indicators to my facelift 2009 ml63.
I ended up soldering these amazon ones in as the plug is wrong... As you can see in the pic above in this thread red wire is positive black is negative. These things came to me with black wiring and no marking on the housing unlike the factory housing which do have positive and negative marked on the housing.
The drivers side one I wired up the same as the factory drivers one and same with the passenger copying the polarity markings of the OEM housings not these knockoffs. They are different polarity on the oem housing side to side but the wires do signify "+ and - red and black.
Anyway both indicators work. Problem is I get warning lights on the dash and it clicks faster on the dash only (the indicators themselves dont speed up) after about 8 to 9 flashes on each side.
I just measured the factory units resistance and both came out to 340ohms.
Im thinking I should maybe go back in there and check the resistance of these aftermarket ones and see if its the same if not add resistors until it is?
Has anyone figured this out? The mirror indicators are controlled by each respective door sam module and I had a quick look through both of them for any coding options that might let it work properly but cant see anything. Do you guys think if I update both door modules I might get an extra option that might work for me??
I also have led fog lights which I may try updating the software in the front sam to see if that gives me any options for led fogs?? as currently when looking through the front sam I dont see the option for leds in the front of the car.
Or can I just delete the codes in vediamo somehow and begone with the error warnings altogether somehow?
