Code 20E823 pressure low in AdBlue tank

Before I was getting 20BE1B AdBlue heater has malfunction, so I dropped def tank and replaced complete heater unit with level sensor from Bosch, added 5 gallons of def fluid cleared codes. Drove for a few miles check engine light came back on now I'm getting code 20E823 saying pressure in def tank is too low, is there something that I missed I put both o-rings on def pump when mounting it and made sure seal around heater unit was completely seated and big plastic nut is tight, went over all connections were connected and all lines are tight and secure. Is there anything else I can check?? Also when mouting the pump there was a small metal almost like a shim or washer on the small nipple of pump so I put that back just like it was do I not need this piece? Thanks any suggestions will help.

The codes you posted are not valid M/B codes. The code reader you are using is converting M/B codes into there own codes.

You do not have to own a Star Scanner, although it would be the best to have, but you should get this scanner which will read codes in every module in the truck and produce M/B codes correctly.

Diesel engines have 36 pages of M/B codes and to read through those pages to find your code, I will not do.

The codes are so large, I had to separate them into 3 segments.

OK PROBLEM SOLVED !!! so i removed the def tank back down, checked all the electrical connections on the pump and heater module everything looked okay. So decided to remove pump and take heater module back out, the tank still had about 5 gallons of def fluid, but there was no def fluid in heater module housing, i filled up housing with def fluid all the way to the top holes until it started overflowing to the tank, put the big plastic nut on and pump all connectors and reinstalled def tank. Im thinking maybe the def pump was sucking up air and not primed up. But now i can see actual pressure on scan tool, before it used to be 0. Anyways this was a learning experience and I thank you guys for your help!

Thank you for the update and the solution! I had the exact same issue on my GLK 250 after the DEF heaters were replaced. The remaining starts were counting down. The indy shop redid the work, tightened the lines and filled the heater module housing. No more count down and everything is back to normal!

I thought the P20E823 code was for injection tip clogging where it fits into the cat converter. Did you find out what the issue was on your car?
