need to know if my benz has keyless go?
ok sounds like a dumb question but I just got the car, its a 2006 ml500 and the driver door lock actuator dosnt work so I need to know if its keyless go or not so I don't order the wrong part. When I touch the door handle the door unlocks but I don't know if that's a keyless go thing or if they all do that, it didn't come with a push start button but I know that's removable. so if they all unlock by touching the door how can I figure out if its keyless go or not?
question 2.. anybody know where I can get that door lock actuator for the best price?

If you touch the door handle and the door unlocks, you have KeyLess Go.
If the door unlocks, why do you want to replace the door lock actuator? Confused.

As Maj Dundee said, if you touch the handle and it unlocks, you definitely have keyless go. It can be confirmed by VIN, but I'm 100% sure you have it.
Non-keyless go cars will not do anything when you touch the handle.
You definitely need a keyless go door handle. Also order a push button as they're reasonably cheap and you can just plug it in. No need to use keys at all in your truck.. touch the handle to open (or lock) and push the button to start. Key can stay in your pocket all the time!

Thanks guys. The vin is 4JGBB75E26A048520. It’s the door lock actuator I need to replace because the driver door will not lock. I can’t push the lock down either. I am having a hard time finding the keyless go actuator and don’t want to spend 600 for it at the dealer

Buy a used one on eBay or from a wrecking yard. I believe most (70% or possibly more.. should ) of the Ml and GL models in the US had Keyless Go.
Just make sure the vehicle had Keyless Go and it will fit. Get the VIN if you can and we can tell you for sure.
BTW I looked up your VIN and your vehicle does have Keyless Go listed as an option

Just looked on eBay and found this for $140. It has a VIN listed, and when I looked up the vehicle, it had Keyless GO installed. So I think this should work fine for your car:

Have you considered the fact that you might need only the replacement spring? These trucks are known to have bad actuators and it is the spring that fails. You can buy a kit of four springs for less than $20 and repair your own actuator.
I think much of the labour is removing the actuator so it shouldn't be hard to fix it and put it back in. Also that way you are guaranteed to have a compatible part (it will be a big problem if you take the door apart and the new actuator isn't the right part)

Thanks everyone, I bought that actuator on eBay saved me over 400 bucks. I didn’t think it was the spring because it’s not doing the ratcheting thing the lock is just stuck, I could be wrong. But thanks again everyone you guys are a very helpful!
