2011 ML350 Bluetec Filter housing gasket

Hi everyone, I think my filter housing gasket is leaking where it attaches to the cylinder head. Has anyone had this problem? It leaks from that particular area, drips down and then the fan blows the oil all over the underside of the engine and belly pan. There is no evidence of oil coming from the valley (read oil cooler). I tried using a mirror as there is a space you can look from the underside of the oil filter housing. It is definitely coming from that area, I just wasn't sure if there is a cam seal or cam seal cap behind there as well that could be leaking. Anyway, if anyone has replaced this gasket before please let me know or if you have the directions, even better. Thanks in advance.

Rick

Thanks Maj. Dundee, that was exactly what I was looking for. Seems simple enough.

Were you able to complete this job, and if so how did it go? Did you absolutely need to remove the S-belt or was there sufficient room to remove the oil filter housing?
I need to do this job also.

Thanks.
