Main Park / Foot brake cable instal help w164 ml320
Hello all.
Failed the mot today with numerous problems...
need new upper suspension mounts (doesn’t look to hard a job) but the issue I have is a frayed park/foot brake main cable.... one from the foot brake to the joiner to the rear two cables for the rear shoes.
I cant find any diagrams/instructions anywhere for fitting? I see the cable goes into the car from underneath but don’t know where it pops out nor the layout to the foot brake.
Has anyone done this before or know of any diagrams?
any help appreciated?
The Main cable was really hard to come by, the only one I could get hold of was straight from the merc dealer at £59 plus vat

Cheers for the pics and thanks for taking the time to look into it.
unfortunately they are all for the rear cables- I’m after instructions for the main cable that attaches to these two. It’s the cable that goes from the actual foot brake to the rear of the car and then connects to the rear two wheel cables .

Ok after 6 hours and almost cutting my finger off the job is done! I Feel for anyone who has to do this...
on thing that’s not mentioned is the in the tunnel there is a bloody bracket so the old and new pipe didn’t slide through as it was catching on it.... had to cut the sound dampener and a little carpet then bend the bracket a tad.. and with a bit of force it eventually slides out and the new one in.
Make sure to tie string to the old cable when you pull it through so you can then pull the new cable through with it!
Plus where it comes under the seat there are black brackets by the cable bung - there are as sharp As a razor ! Had to stop mid work and get my finger glued
