Parking light stays on?

Now that my location and year are updated, the light went off. Snarky comments aside. Thank you for the response, user CP taken care of. After a couple hours of research all I can find are some Arabic dudes on youtube digging around through lifted carpet and cheerios to remove and replace the front SAM module. Not sure if for sure that is my problem, the only explanation here:

Just the SAM then? No one else ever have this parking light stay on?
I ended up just unplugging it to save my
battery.
If indeed all we have is the front SAM to blame, where is it exactly? Under passenger seat? Front? Rear?
thank you.

Your problem does not mean that it is the front SAM.
Did you turn the Rotary Light Sw . OFF?
You unplugged WHAT? Be more specific when you post.

Dear Maj. Dundee,
Maybe it was wrong of me to assume that you all would assume that I was bright enough to ensure the “rotary” switch was rotated to the off position, which any joe would be inclined to do so when the light wouldn’t switch off.
That being said, I unplugged the light, itself, from behind the left headlight assembly in order to turn it off and conserve battery power. The front SAM module, as I’d indicated in earlier posts, is outside the scope of my knowledge thus far. This brings us to the original intent of this thread; to learn, understand and converse with others more knowledgeable on the subject.
I trust this message finds you well.

Yes the message finds me well, but you still have to understand that I cannot assume anything as to what you disconnected. Why couldn't you just say I disconnected the light switch?
The parking/standing lights are controlled by both the front & rear SAMs. Have you checked the floor of the rear SAM for water entry? It is famous for allowing rain water entry.

All lights, guages, etc.. work. Radio, dash, everything seems fine. Only the front left (as pictured) light remains on, which again, I have unplugged the light.
The only water damage I can visually see is the hydraulic pump solenoid in the rear tire-well. The foam around it was holding a lot of water.
Thank you

You must buy both tail lamp seals (dealer only) to stop any further water entry.
Are all 4 parking lamps on or is it one or two?

I will for sure replace both rear lamp gaskets. As far as the light remaining on - it is ONLY the front left (driver side) small round light as pictured in the original post. That is the only uncooperative light.

Have you tried (with key out) putting indicator to left or right? incase it thinks it is parked and you want one light on so the car is seen? have someone look from outside and see if there is any change or blonk when you do this.
when you go through dash menus try turning off the turning off all the lighting functions etc (like surround - etc etc so you can rule that out
Have you pulled out the rear sam - or just got to it - to see if it looks like it has ever been wet (agree with MajDundee) - or checked under the RH front seat to see if it looks wet or ever wet under the or around the battery? front SAM (maybe some sign of rust would indicate been wet)
PS I am assuming your battery and front SAM is under RH front seat - mine is but I am RHD not LHD in Australia
