she drives it very safe and I mean she just doesn’t want to push gas pedal past 1/10th it’s cavitation or depth.
Haha, a Tiguan would be perfect.

Have not had the chance to take her on the Freeway/Highway just yet, too busy with High School Football and home projects.

However, I can confirm that the ride on the Michelins is definitely much quieter and smoother compared to the Contis.

How so? The recommended dealership fix for intake valve carbon is to run it at 4000 rpm for 20 minutes. That's with a FI/DI coil-on-plug turbo engine.

How is that not an Italian Tune-Up?

How so?

You sent the link to wikipedia. I read it, and this is what it stated. That's how.

"Italian tuneup is a slang automotive term for attempting to restore engine performance by driving a car at high engine speed (RPM) and load.

The term originated from Italian mechanics in the 1950s using this practice to burn off carbon deposits from the spark plugs of sports cars.[1][2] However, modern fuel injection and ignition systems have rendered Italian tuneups obsolete.[1]

The practice is sometimes used prior to emissions testing, particularly for diesel engines."

As I am posting on the W164 forum, I am obviously referring to the ML. The Thread also reads "Best tires for the ML 4MATIC", so the Conti's went on my ML.

As I had mentioned, I never had bad luck with Michelins. For you stating that Michelins are a step down from the Conti's (after me just explaining that I have a major issue with this type of Continental tire), can only be your opinion, which you are entitled to.

If you just put an AMAZING set of Conti's on your truck, it might be helpful to know which model you installed.

Thanks for the heads up in regards to checking with my dealer and doing my research. In most cases I do my own research, as the dealer does not always have the latest and most accurate information, especially on a 13 year old model. The Michelin tire I have selected is recommended for the W164.

whah I said was the OE TIRES ARE CONTIS AND IN FACT THEY ARE RATED AND HANDLE AND DRIVE AND LAST LONGER THAN ANY OTHER MICHELIN RATED TIRE OR ON MARKET.

Iknow this for certain and to be a FACT becuse I have asked continental and asked Michelin and asked the dealer before I bought and replaced mine instead of using a Michelin latitude which is a $270 tire!!!! And lasted only 27k before wear issues affected handling and all other things tire related.

that being said there is no way you censor out what I said vs what your opinion is over the tire manufactures and dealer and Mercedes Benzs own RECOMMENDATIONS AND CHOICE OF TIRE FOR THE ML KLASSE VEHICLES.

Hope all is well take care buddy.

You're asking if I sit here and make corrections to Wikipedia about some incorrect speculations, or do you realize I linked to it for the general purpose of defining the subject?
