Under closer inspection it seems the water is coming in above the tail lights and dripping down.. Any ideas..
I had a very similar problem with mine as well. My rubber boot that covers the hinge of the rear hatch had a cracked plastic housing that secures it to the hatch. It would allow water to get into the rear quarter panel of the vehicle. All it took was some RTV silicone and the leaking issues stopped
What is the area above the tail light that is wet? Post a photo.
Stuffed paper towel up in there and it got wet.. Not as wet as the paper towel I stuffed in below the tail lights.. Its raining cats and dogs tonight and I'm out in the ml320 doing food deliveries
