Mom had a parking mishap with her car - Please help!
The first priority is to get the driver's side sideview mirror replaced. Then start with a paintless dent removal place and see what they can do because the contact was with a wooden garage door frame.
Can someone please take a look at the enclosed photos and give me some idea about the best way to proceed? Is there a straightforward way to remove the sideview mirror assembly that is now dangling? What would it take to get this fixed? Do we have to buy any parts to replace the attachment point of the sideview mirror? Any idea on the cost to get the sideview mirror fixed and working again?
I'm assuming this is the morrow we need for a 2011 ML350?

Just an FYI- the mirrors on my 2010 had wear and some light damage. The mirrors parts (and the mirror itself) were way to expensive to replace. From what I remember, the mirror doesn't come as one assembly- all the parts need to be bought separately (motor, housing, mirror glass etc...)...No thanks
I went to Amazon and bought both the left and right for $160. The mirror glass on these had a distorted look so I bought a mirror glass replacement and 3M'd it on the unit.
If you want, this may be a better option. Replace both with new mirrors.
Here is the mirror glass- you will need part numbers 5478 and 4421
5478-
4421-
And here is the actual unit:
Not sure what specific mirror you have, but these are not heated or have blind spot monitors....
Took me about 15/20 minute to install on each side. Pretty straight forward. A few YT videos on how take door panel off. very easy
These are the instructions for the GL but very similar. You don't have to take the door panel off- just pry anough to be able to get to the connector to unplug it- you can lay on the ground and look up and put your hand in there to disconnect and reconnect new mirror. Give it a shot. I'm not a big DIY'er but this was simple to do
