I just got notice that my mid-May production car is now 6/2 production due to the Lighting Package delay. Car will likely arrive mid-June based on the info from dealer.

Ordered the car in April by modifying an existing production slot -

Finally have a VIN, 8 months after order! Will not receive the truck until we return from vacation 7/18, though.
Edit 6/23: Car released to carrier 6/15, scheduled to arrive at dealer 7/2.

Santa arrived a few months early today...was dropping off my GL450 for a repair appointment (driver's seat lumbar support fully inflated and cannot move or deflate), dropped in to see my sales rep and ran into the sales manager - he checked and told me the ML would arrive at the dealer today.

So, left the GL with the service department, took the service loaner, and will return on Friday to take my personal items and car seasts out of the GL and take the ML350 home.

Sales manager is also taking care of my June lease payment which I gambled by waiting a few days to see if the ML would get here...and it's here!

Placed the order in April. My "build date" was June 20th. The ML arrived at the dealership (in VA) today... TWO days after the build date!! I'll try to pick it up tomorrow.

Thanks, I will. Job 1 celebration is thursday of the X166 and friday will be the last day of production for 4th of July shutdown. Production starts back up on the 9th. Dont see many Brown Bluetecs either.

Hi, I have a 2013 ordered in May that I have been told is scheduled with an "Early July Build Date". Does anyone know what I can ask my SA to provide as a confirmation of the build. When should I be able to get more definitive info and maybe even a VIN # ???

Try "Hey what's my build date" LOL they can easily tell you when date is this close mine is july 27

In my case it was all quick and easy. My build date was June 20. I emailed the dealer on the morning of the 22nd to ask if it was, in fact, built on the 20th. He reported that yes, it had been built, and it had actually been released to the carrier on the 21st and he expected to receive the vehicle later that afternoon but couldn't guarantee it. He said there was no way to track the truck. Around 5:30 PM he called me to say that it had arrived, and that I could pick it up the next day. Three days from building, it to driving it!!

I was told early July Build with a late July/Early August Delivery. The only hold up on delivery will be the Mercedes release date for the 2013's, but that appears to be in July 2013 based upon the news release from MBUSA ???

Glad to hear it Greg! I started the process last December for a 2012 but M-B kept changing packages and option availability so my 2012 became a 2013 and I am getting almost everything I want. I now have a third week in August build. There are still a few items,like multi-countur seats that I wanted but I can live without them as they would not be available until September (?) and I am tired of waiting. This will be my 6th Merc and my 3rd ML and I enjoyed everyone of them but I must admit being jerked around by M-B as to options/packages was a bit frustrating.

Did you end up with sport interior? I'm passing on that because the two examples I saw had baggy leather.
