Just traded in 2012 GLK for 2012 ML...

We had an opportunity to trade in our 3 month old GLK for new ML350.
Wife thought the GLK was an excellent vehicle, but wanted the roominess of the ML. Also preferred the Black ext & tan int over the previous white ext & black int.
First impressions are that the ML is almost a totally different vehicle. Although the safety features & layout is almost the same, the ride & "presence" of the ML is vastly superior. Smoother ride, more room & higher view/sitting position. Love the paddle shifter, column Park, Brake, & Drive shifter (after a little getting used to) is nice, great backup camera, & signal changer at the 10 o'clock position is much better than 8 o'clock on GLK.

After changing over licence plate frames, parking stickers, & our accessories & "stuff" from old car over, it feels like home again.

Had to re-read the manual to customize our preferences again.
We changed the following:
- program garage door buttons
- decrease rear hatch height
- audible when lock/unlock
- easy entry/exit
- undo the auto side mirrors from turning in upon lock/unlock

Took us forever to find the dimming switch for the dash.

Had to take car back to dealer since they filled our tires w/ Nitrogen (bright green valve covers looks pretty cool), but the dash sensors keeps popping up that tire pressures were 36 psi all around. We looked at the door plate & it say it's supposed to be high 40's psi, so had to take it back to add more Nitrogen.

Still playing around w/ our nav, satellite, & radio features.

Just ordered wheel locks, McGuard 28023, at Amazon for $29, free shipping. Called McGuard, & that's the exact model they say fits 2012 ML.
Mercedes wheel lock part #B6 647 0156 is $95 + tax at the dealer.

Now, looking for cool accessories/parts:
- mud flaps
- side running boards
- chrome door handles? $85 at dealer
- chrome hood fins? $224 at dealer
- wheel hub inserts? what are they? worth it?

Any other suggestions?

Regarding tire pressures, go by the label inside the fuel flap. The pressures specified there are lower than the door sticker for some reason. Mid 30s are the correct pressures. 40s are too high.

Dealers don't know what the correct tire pressure should be? The label on the door pillar is the worst bit of advice placed on a vehicle. Bad for tires and ride quality.

Wife came back from dealer, where they release some air from 36 psi all around to 32 psi all around & reset the dash warning. Guess they told her to ignor the door pillar tag & use the info on sticker on the gas cap...

Glad you saw the light. Enjoy your new ride.

Ignore the door label? Next they will tell her to ignore the owners manual.

Going to get the 2 front side windows tinted today, for more shade & UV protection. $40

Since we both workout & play lots of tennis, & often get into the car w/ wet clothing, just bought 2 of these Seat Armour covers, $26 at our local dealer, great deal, since it's more expensive on the internet:

Anyone else has any more "can't live without" accessories?
