Finally they getting rid of that outdated steering wheel. http://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/imag...jpg?1396551643 |
Looks like a suddle enough of an upgrade. Steering wheel being the biggest for me.
I don't know... for some reason I am not a fan of this after market Garmin-style screen they're starting to use. Flush mounted looks just a little cleaner/more elegant to me. The vents look similar to a Porsche Cayenne. Also, STILL no ECO button from what I can see and that panel seems to be loaded out... gahhhhhhhhh. |
I'm not loving it either. Maybe the new screen is bigger and would make the dashboard too big if it was built in. They are probably using google now for navigation like Audi.
Steering wheel from the way the ML was parked - happens to be "turned" upside down.. new dash/screen styling in Mercedes mind lets the center and right side of the dash to be "moved down" and "moved back".. I am not "defending" just stating the direction..
Cayenne vents. Bigger screen. 3 spoke wheel. Refined buttons below screen. Nice
****, looks better to me and mine arrives on the 11th...

I saw that...my point was that it is a different design than current one. Finally changing that. Also I notice better quality buttons throughout the dash. to be quite honest I was leaning towards getting a RR but will wait and see how this feels and hopefully they even change the front and rear bumpers as currently they are too plain looking, IMO. |
Like the wheel, HATE the nav screen.
Hate the nav..if not built in why not make it collapse away..
Steering wheel hub looks like circa BMW |
Audi A6 owners with the sports steering wheel will probably agree that this new wheel looks very very similar.
I feel it looks like Mazda's wheel....
I don't like the NAV screen. It looks like an after-thought. Next they will be suction cupping it on the windshield.
I'm not a fan of the nav screen, it looks as though they used double sided tape and stuck an iPad to the dash....
I like it...
Put my pre-order in already. Will be a bit of a wait until September. Tenorite grey, with the premium package and xenon package.

I pre-ordered....
The ML350 BlueTec, though the bi-turbo V6 sounded interesting.
Better view of the steering wheel (yes, it's the same wheel in the spy shot) except on the new C Class:

MY15 ML is virtually the same as MY14, only minor changes (addition of ECO stop/start on gas engines is notable). MY16 is facelift. |

In Geneva motor show the seller man told me they will change v6 engine to v6 bi turbo and will call it ML400 ! and the front grill will be like SL grill ,, didn't mention any thing about headlight
Of course in the USA, MBUSA may pass on the ML250 Bluetec variant and stick with the 350 Bluetec, since Americans may feel that for a big heavy luxury car the 250 is too slow and anemic.
