Widest Tire for ML550
 

Curious what the widest tire size is that anyone here has put on their ML550 ('12+). Mine has the 19" wheels stock - 255 width - and I am trying to confirm whether the car can fit up to 285s in the rear and, if so, if they make the stock 19" AMG wheel in a width that would accommodate that size tire.


Perhaps a more important question - Would upgrading only the rears hinder my 4Matic system?

With 4Matic all 4 wheels must have the same circumference.

You could fit the ML63 wheel and tire at least P295-35-R21 and even wider if you wish... I have seen with P335-20-22

Wow, really? 335?? I find that incredibly hard to believe. I wouldn't go beyond 295s since they'll have to be the same all around, but I'm thinking 285s may be more appropriate.

They dont need to be the same width front to rear just same (close) diameter..He was running 295 fronts
