W166 power tailgate wont Opel without help
i have just bought a w166 350 diesel.
I have some Challenge with the powertailgate.
if i Open by pussing the handle it Will unlock and thats it, if i the help it open While pushing the handle and after ca. 20 cm it Will open very slowly like if no power on batt. (Both are brand new)
the i replaceded both gas cylinder and Electric cylinder. Just to see it did absolut no change at all.
can someone please help me

It's the 2 tailgate lift shocks...on either side. They don't cost much.
I have personally changed a pump ($750.00) then did the rivit repair, inside the hatch release (saw the Russian guys on Youtube fix it with a common rivet, saved $400.00 , ).....
then the door wouldn't raise above chest level......till I put 2 new OEM MB shocks on.........and that did it.. ...........it was a 2007 ML 350
