Where can I buy a fuse Holder for the fuse box in hood
Hi,
I want to use the spare fuse F218 in the fuse box under the hood but I need a fuse holder.
Where can I find those fuse holder?
I'm in Canada but don't mind ordering from other countries if need to.
In green in the picture is the socket I want to use.
Thank You

Personally, I'd want the star on all the time when the engine is running. In any case, I know they sell a piggy-back fuse holder which you run off've an existing fuse. I'll see if I can find a link...

I already using a pigdy-back fuse holder to light up the star in F233.
This is what I use, But now I won't to use F218 but it's missing the original fuse holder/blade in the socket.

I found what i'm looking for but not anywhere in north america and with the shipping and the 3-4 weeks of waiting it's not worth it.
I'll finally buy it directly for the dealer for around 20$ after Easters holidays
Here the references numbers for anyone looking to use one of the empty spare socket in the fuse box.
A0045456401 and A0115458426
From what I saw, it's look pretty easy.
Attach the + of whatever you need to juice, snap it in a empty spare socket in the fuse box, ofcourse ground your whatever and pop in an appropriate ato fuse. (start small if your not sure of the fuse amp you need).

Illuminated star randomly turns on
Hi,
I saw post from last year about illuminated star installation in F218 fuse of ML350.
i bought the factory harness and did the same but my star comes on randomly.
Is that normal?
when I lock the car, it turns off. But if someone pulls the door handle(without the fob) or if someone parks their car next to mine, it turns on.
i just wanna know if I had messed up the installation or it's normal for the start to do so.
Thanks

Not normal,
My star is on f218 and light up day or night when the key in position 1 or obviously when the car is started.
When I turn off the car, it will stay on and close 30-45 second after the other lights.
Is it on a W166 M-class?
Mine is a 2015, try comparing the 2015 fuse diagram with yours. maybe the year differ and the F218 spare have a different behavior.
Or do like I did to find the F218, use a tester and check each empty spare to find one that actually close when the car is off after a few minutes and have power no matter the condition when the car is started.

I've compared your fuse diagram to mine and its the same. I have a 2015 4matic.
Yes, the star do turn off 30 secs after all the lights turn off but it does light up when i press any key on the fob or someone tries to open the door with or without the fob present.
Also everytime i shut the hood, the star turns on for 15-20 secs.
All i did for installation is snapped the fuse holder of the harness with 5amp fuse in f218 and ground the other wire to the nearest spot. Not sure why mine is behaving differently than yours.
