How to enable DVD and Nav address entry while in motion
BimmerGuru provides a simple software unlocking to enable video in motion on the ML. No need to install hardware. Takes less than 5 minutes and can be restored back to factory settings. Here's a video on how it's done:

The map may be temporarily disabled if the end user doesn’t follow the exact installation procedure. In an event the map does get disabled there’s an easy do it yourself fix for it. Feel free to PM me your Vin number so I can check compatibility

Wrong, wrong, wrong and very dangerous to the other drivers
This is absolutely a terrible idea and the very reason why M-B and other companies do not permit it. It is stupid and dangerous to other vehicles, yourself and your passengers.
When your wife or kid shouts out, "hey, look at this" and you look, there goes your so called attention to the road. It is also very difficult (if not impossible) to not be distracted by the moving "pictures" on the screen.
Not to mention trying to input addresses and such while watching a screen and NOT the GD road ahead.
If you are involved in a fault accident and the other party discovers you had this unauthorized modification to your vehicle, good bye house,savings and everything else. Your insurance carrier will abandon you in a heartbeat.

I bought a cable to install a not the radio, required pulling the radio but works great. You can turn it on and off from the steering wheel.
