Where to buy illuminated door sills?
My driver side illuminated door sill crapped out. I took it apart and found out that salt/dirt got in there during the multiple winters the suv has seen. The salt bloated the wiring and everything rusted. The illuminated door sill is finished. Now I'm on the hunt for a new one. First step that I took, I called my local MB dealer. Was quoted 450$+ for 1 door sill. What??? Even the employee working at the parts department could't believe it.
So I looked online and found some at https://www.mboemparts.com/ but they do not ship to Canada! Does anyone know where I could buy one? Other than at the stealership of course. I need the one with the Mercedes Benz logo (not the AMG one). See picture below:

This is a really strange one -- I picked up a set at a pick n' pull last week for $20 bucks, they are OEM with the 166 part number on them, but the LED light is white not blue. Grabbed a second pair off of another ML, same thing, white, not blue, like the door sills in the S-Class, SL's, etc...I'm trying to remember when I saw a ML/GLE with the OEM sills on them, and if they were indeed white or blue.
Dr. Wolf -- I know you have 876 on your truck, what color are your door sills? Thanks!

dont have the ambient lighting package on mine.. I thought about adding the illuminated door sills, but ended up passing
Oh my bad, I could have sworn you had it on yours.
No worries, i was very interested in adding the ambient lighting right after i bought it because i thought it was really cheap on MBUSA's part
to not have it on a 60k car as a default option, i posted several threads on this issue, but i ended up decided to wait until i trade this car for my next GLE (hopefully)
and to make sure the next one has it
