2009 Head Rest for 2014 ML350?
Hi there,
Knowing that it voids the warranty and is perhaps a down grade in safety, are the head rests from earlier ML models useable on newer ones? I find the new head rests to be too far forward and irritates a pinche nerve I have.

This might be a stupid question, but is your existing headrest fully compressed? The surface on which your head rests can be adjusted forward/back. For me, at least, I can barely crane my neck far enough back to touch the rest when it is fully compressed.

You know, not a stupid question at all--because I didn't know it could be compressed lol. I'll have to check that out (I don't own a ML yet, currently driving a W204 and looking to purchase one.)

^ What @rapidoxidation wrote. It's the only thing that is not electrically adjustable - there is a round button on the side of the headrest itself that you need to push which will allow it to pivot backwards. It's very easy to accidentally move it forward - forward motion is ratcheting and does not require the button to be pressed - and it will stay there unless you manually release it with the button.
