SOLVED FOB Replaced battery, warning still appears

Had problem of "warning FOB battery change" kept appearing on the dash. put new battery's in and only lasted about 2 months, so bought Duracell and energizer which didn't work at all, could not clear the message.
spent ages going through the web for solutions (resetting, checking faults checking FOB battery voltage etc) one solution was to charge up the CR2025 button batteries with a charger (didn't know such a thing existed)
very cheap to buy and it worked, charged my CR2025 battery's (voltage checked at 3.6 volts) and the message no longer appears on my dash.
Button battery charger with CR2025 inserted

CR series lithium batteries are spec'd as non-rechargeable. LiR series batteries are rechargeable and are spec'd at about 0.3 volts higher. There have been other forum posts about some CR series battery brands giving low battery warnings even when new. Buy batteries with date codes printed on the package that are no older than a year. Recharging a CR battery is likely not a good idea.

Thanks for the input, you are inevitably correct and found even brand-new CR 2025 in date not working but never tried the LiR which may have been the solution, BUT charging up the CR2025 DID solve the problem. Is there a chance of fire risk charging CR button batteries? (probably yes) but I left them overnight charging without issue. Since then, I have up about 10 more that previously wouldn't extinguish the flat battery notification.

Over the years, I've read accounts about how ordinary alkaline primary batteries can be recharged. Perhaps to some extent non-rechargeable batteries can have their internal chemistry reversed and be charged. But their composition and construction are not optimised for charge recycling. I'd be most concerned with the conversion of the battery's internal ingredients to gas. Being unvented, the gas could rupture the battery's seal, leaking potentially corrosive chemicals (alkaline batteries seem to do this spontaneously when they discharge completely). Perhaps not explosively or incendary, but the battery and whatever it's installed in would be destroyed. It's best to recharge only what's rechargeable, and even then (as some EV owners know) do so cautiously and according to manufacturer instructions.
