Gas tank noise
My 2003 SL55 has a gas tank noise. When I stop or start there is a thumping sound in the cabin. I was told it's a loose baffle and there is a "Technical Bulletin - Known problem" and Mercedes will replace the tank for free. Any assistance locating the bulletin will be appreciated.

Gas Tank Noise - Loose Baffle
I have the same problem. I took the trunk liner out to get to where I thought the noise was coming from and found it was the gas tank. Is there a 'bulletin' out on this from Mercedes? I didn't see a reply to the thread.
