Compressor Oil

Just when I thought it was safe to re-enter the muddy waters of the M113 compressor, I came across a bit of a dilemma... Specifically, which Mobil Jet Oil is used in the M113 Compressor (AMG model, if there's a difference)? Apparently, there are 3 different versions of 'Mobil Jet Oil'...
Mobil Jet Oil ~ 1st Generation product
Mobil Jet Oil II ~ 2nd Generation product
Mobil Jet Oil 254 ~ 3rd Generation product
As some of us have found out recently regarding 722.9 transmission fluids, newer is not always desirable or compatible to older. So, does anyone have an idea or opinion on which Mobil Jet Oil is correct for an M113 compressor?

I'm leaning to the 2nd generation product since my compressor is 2005 vintage. But I am quite interested in reading what others may have to say.

Cheers,
Jeff

...post #80. Looks like the answer is either Mobil Jet Oil II or Mobil Jet Oil 254.

Cheers,
Jeff

Which one did you choose: the Manual says Jet II? Did you change it yourself? Was one can enough? What is the torque setting for the SC drain plug? How did you extract and refill it?

I use jet oil II and use a syringe from Ebay to extract and fill. I put teflon tape on the plug and just tighten the plug up by feel.

So from the reading I've done; Jetoil II is about a 10 year old product; then came 254 which is much better against oxidation; and then 291(pulled off the shelves) and currently FAA approved 387 (Full Synthetic)- can one mix 387 with the residuals of the OEM Jet oil and do a run the 387 instead?
