Supercharger and Pulley Replacement

Duped from my post in the G55 forum but thought it appropriate to be placed in this forum!! Many thanks in advance for your advice....

'Do any of you guys have experience of how long it should take a garage to change the G55 supercharger belt and pulley?

I would have thought it a relatively straightforward job (2 hours of mechanics time maybe?) but my garage tried to softly hint that it was an all day job.

Just trying to keep the guy honest so all guidance greatly appreciated!!'

Just the pulley? Well if it were an S55...

15 minutes, including a coffee and bio break.

Move beauty cover and air intake tube out of the way, One wrench turn on the SC belt tensioner to loosen the belt, insert a pin to hold tensioner open, take belt off.

That's 60 seconds so far....

Allen wrench (or was it torx?) to remove the sc pulley bolt, and then pulley, then put on new pulley,

2 minutes...

replace bolt into new pulley and tighten.

3 minutes...

put new belt on, wrench to turn tensioner to remove holding pin, let go of wrench and the belt is tight.

5-7 minutes so far....

Go to coffee machine, chat with other techs, go to bathroom, go have a smoke....

If you mean the bearing behind the supercharger pulley too, then up to an hour if he already has the replacement bearing.
