CL65 tranny program on CL600?
Hi
I have access to both 65 and 600 EGS, both W215. I wonder if it`s possible to flash the AMG program to 600 because having driven both the 65 is much more comfortable in terms of shift speeds and overall responsiveness. Also, would it require SCN coding?

Did you have to do any coding to make the TCM work on another car? Have you considered doing the firmware flashing as is my idea?

I have had the TCU flashed with the 65 series program. No SCN coding was needed. Plug and play. The transmission now works faster and the manual mode has appeared, besides S and C.
The most pleasant part is that I had no kickdown before this and it works after the flash.
I reset the adaptations and though I can`t say it works flawlessly there is nothing troublesome and I think it will adapt over time.

At a local indie. It isn`t a hard job for any person who knows soldering and reprogramming chips. No Mercedes-specific equipment needed. For anyone interested I can post the firmwares here (stock 600 and 65).
By the way at the same time I had the ECU tuned by copying the firmware from another 600tt car. It had been chiptuned and dynoed at 610 bhp and after the same process as with the TCU I got it as well. The car noticeably faster and more responsive and I`m getting 1.2 bar boost instead of 0.9.
