I own a W220 S Class and 9 months & 5,983 kms ago had all four air shocks, all six control arms in the front end along with the inner and outer tie rods replaced. New Bistein shocks, Lemforder control arms and Lemforder/Febi tie rods fitted.

The change in the quality of the ride has been quite substantial as I'm sure you could imagine but the amount of driving I do has reduced significantly and the car has developed some other issues so I'm looking to trade it in. The trade-in amounts I've been offered have been very low and when I tell them all the suspension work that's been done the amount doesn't change.

So what I'm thinking is that someone who also owns a W220 (non ABC of course) would appreciate the suspension work and particularly the ability to "test drive" the end result of such work in order to see how much better it is than their current suspension. We could agree on a price for the "new" gear in my car then swap the suspension components between cars. I've still got all the old gear out of my car, so if a particular control arm or shock in your car is really worn I can get my old one put in.

Note: the two ball joints that the lower CA connects to in the wheel knuckle (Merc # 211 330 0435) were also replaced so every item in the front end has been replaced. But seeing as these are pressed into the knuckle you'll need to buy new ones for the swap. The good part is for the "test drive" you know everything has been replaced.
