Description:
Due to some property investments I wish to make I am contemplating letting the car go. It is a beautiful Tektite Gray car with black interior on CL55 wheels. Car is completely stock except the radio. Its been a Southern car and away from the ocean its whole life. The car does have active cruise and with the Pioneer stereo it now has a reverse camera. Just received a MAJOR service and while it was in there I decided to do some preventative maintenance such as the coolant tank (wasnt leaking but felt brittle) and replaced the cooling lines. I have had the car in the air and there are no leaks or worn bushings at all. Front brakes are apx 90% and rears are apx 60% left.
So I am going to start with the bad so there are no surprises.
1: Air lines on driver seat need to be fixed, I can see the white line is cracked.
2: There are 3 dings on the car, all on passenger door. PDR guy said not a problem and would be $100 to fix. Hes done a dozen of my cars.
3. The beauty seals around the mirrors are cracked but I have new OEM Benz ones included.
4: Sometimes the external air temp sensor reads 15* high for 5 minutes and then returns to actual temperature.
The good and great:
1: Last year (apx 1000 miles ago) the car got a new battery and new Michelin PS3s in the rear.
2: Early last year it got all 4 struts replaced with OEM parts
3: Last month it got brand new ceramic tint all around ($400)
4: Last month it got a new ABC pump, ABC system flush, ABC hoses replaced, new coolant expansion tank, new lines and seals associated with those repairs and all was done at Mercedes so it all has a 2 year warranty. ($4900)
5: Last year had the ancient factory deck replaced with a Pioneer app radio with CD/USB/SD drive that also plays DVD and has a backup camera. Its integrated with the Bose system and sounds far superior to the factory deck.
6: Last month I put a brand new OEM newer style grill that is the proper one for the active cruise.
7: I was told that last year the ignition coils were replaced but was not given a receipt to prove it. Car idles smooth and has tons of power. I have scanned the car several times with an Autel Elite scanner and read the plugs in real time and never seen a single missfire so I dont doubt they have been done.
The interior is amazing and does not even have a wrinkle. All the wood is perfect except a couple small cracks on the top of the steering wheel but are small enough not to notice. Everything works as it should (except the previously mentioned driver seat pump leak). The exterior is in great shape too. Paints like new and there are no scratches. No leaks, no weird sounds and even the rear window shade works as well as the rear power head-rests.
Car is garage kept.
