Today we present to you a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300GD (gelandewagen diesel) that is a slight departure from stock. This particular truck was imported about a year ago and as you can see, is built for an expedition, weekend warrior trail trip, or a great start for a bug-out-mobile. The original OM603 3.0L inline-6 diesel has been swapped for a more updated and refined inline-5 cyclinder 2.7L turbo diesel from a w202 270CDI. This powerplant is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and has about 38k miles on it, while the chassis shows about 100k miles. It has a clean clear title and will ship from Pennsylvania.
The exterior has received a repaint in the matte dark midnight blue you see here (original color was of similar hue/tone but non-matte). Some light scratches are seen but nothing of alarming note. If you are the discerning type to worry about a scratch here or there, take a look at what you are bidding on here as this might not be the car for you. Although most of its brethren are mall-wheel drives, this one is built for the woods and trails and should be used as such.
