Yes, these are real. Note the AMG etching in the face. They were found on the left coast, and sent to a premier wheel shop for refinishing, inspection, trueness, etc. They are all that and ride smooth as glass. I only mounted them for the photos and to check the fitment. I have nearly the asking price in the refinishing and shipping alone.
This is the absolute ultimate wheel for a 129. Back in the early 90's, they would stop traffic, and they still do. You know what they are and what they fit. I have caps but no lugs (I think they use OE, but you probably want to use something nicer). There is not a mark, scratch, or anything anywhere.
I'd rather not ship them. I just don't want to take the risk.It's going to be expensive too, because I would insure them like crazy. I don't see how they can be duplicated But I will listen if you have an idea.
Just thought I'd offer them to my 129 colleagues before I get to Ebay. If you want to be the R129 Guy, then here you go. Please, no whining, telling me how expensive they are, etc. Just a very, very rare opportunity. I'm in the Atlanta south area. I'm guessing these were made from 1 piece AMG monoblocks. The part number on the back would tell us what the wheels were before they were cut and welded for a 3 piece conversion. Who build these?
