Mercedes-Benz E320 2005 - 2006
Description:

Not sure how much attention diesels get in these parts, but here goes.....

Had a 2005 straight six e320 cdi diesel a while back. When I bought it i went ham and bought a bunch of new parts to bring it up to as new as possible. Turns out I never needed the engine harness, or what MB likes to call the starter line. Not sure of all the years and models this harness will work so you'll need to use the collective forum knowledge if wanting to use it for anything other than 05/06 e320 cdi.

As most diesel owners, who have actually looked under the hood of their vehicle, can attest to the fact that after a while the engine wire harness on these MB will become hard and brittle. If you have come across electrical gremlins, intermittent misfires, hard starts, limp modes for seemingly no reason, etc. these are all indications to take a good look at your harness. If you have had the black death from a leaking injector seal you'll already know about fragile injector harness(es).

Maybe you don't need it right now, but it would be a good idea to think about having a spare on hand if needed. It took me a while to source this part as they are far and few between. If your vehicle goes down needing harness work, you'll be fighting a loosing battle with repairs or waiting a long time to try to find one of these harnesses. It took around 2-3 weeks looking for one, then having to settle for getting one shipped form Germany which took another 2-3 weeks. Have long lost the invoice but believe it ran around 450ish bucks. This item is brand new in the box....only opened the box to make sure the part number on the actual harness was the one I ordered.

The Mercedes part number is A 648 150 13 33 and would be willing to let it go for $300. The only thing about selling this is I will only take cash. I understand how folks will be wary of this if they are not local. So if you know someone in Florida from Jupiter to Miami I would be happy to meet up with them to complete the transaction.
