I'm retiring soon (YAAA!), and traveling with my wife in an RV for a long time.  That means the SL55 we have enjoyed for years will need to go to its new caretaker, and is for sale in the Pacific NW area.

I have done extensive DIY preventive maintenance on this car, and you can see my R230 forum posts, have an Mercedes SDS for my own diagnostics, and can assure you this is a well-kept vehicle.
I am an engineer, have built my own airplane, and treat all my vehicles with the same 'airworthiness' criteria.  Reliable, and it has taken many cross-country trips.

The following are notable factory options for this car:

Panoramic roof; Parktronic, MultiContour Heated Massage Seats, Burled Walnut, Bose Premium Sound + CD Changer and Designo Alcantara interior, rear wind screen, Tanzanite Blue paint (dark blue metallic).

I have owned this car for the last 15K miles and in that time, it has had the following replaced or upgraded:
All fluids changed including transmission, differential, supercharger, ABC, and SBC braking system
2 New struts from Arnott (lifetime warranty)
Intercooler pump to Bosch ‘010’ model
Transmission electrical bushing
Front control arm bushings with camber bolts installed
Alternator and both batteries
Throttle pedal, window regulators, front top latch, the usual plastic bits and pieces

 

Upgrades for this car:
Akebono brake pads (no dust!)
Bluetooth Phone integration
77mm supercharger pulley and belt wrap kit (~550+HP, no belt slipping)
Adjustable Rear camber control arms (increased tire life)
Park lock plastic lever replaced with metal (unbreakable)

 19" Tires are new all season Continental DWS 06 all around.  Exterior and interior are in excellent shape, but not perfect after 96K miles.  I will show you all the flaws.  Comes with 18” AMG specific collapsible spare tire (rare and expensive).  Spare parts include oil filters, electrical backups, original SC pulley and rear summer tires.
