2006 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG with approximately 67,236 miles.  This is one of the 40 or so P30 optioned cars imported into the US in 2006.  Exterior is Alabaster white and interior is Ash/Dark Ash.   Car has been meticulously maintained at Mercedes dealers or independent mechanics.  I purchased the car 2 years ago with approximately 45,000 miles.  One year ago the transmission began slipping, so I shipped the car to Renntech in Stuart, Florida and had extensive work done to bring the car up to the best performance and reliability available.  The performance enhancements include the following.  All work is documented and the new owner will receive a folder of the work history.

• MBH long headers (removes primary CATs, secondary CATs remain so should pass emissions)
• Split cooling system with reservoir
• AMG belt wrap kit
• Renntech R2 performance package - ECU hand held tuner, crankshaft pulley, carbon fiber airbag, 82mm throttle body, high flow intercooler pump
• Brand new Mercedes 3G transmission rebuilt with the Renntech transmission - also includes a new Mercedes torque converter

With the performance upgrades, the car should be producing over 600 HP and 640 ft/lbs of torque.
The car came equipped from the factory with the following options:

Extensive service has also been performed under my ownership, most was done at Renntech or my local Mercedes dealer where they have several Renntech trained AMG mechanics.  Recent services include the following in order of most recent first:

1. Replaced secondary air pump
2. Replaced battery (Mercedes OEM) and performed B service
3. Installed 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 tires (@ 65,506 miles 9/16/22)
4. Performance enhancements at Renntech plus:
   1. replaced spark plugs
   2. repaired front ABC line that was leaking
   3. replaced drive shaft
   4. rear crankshaft seal
   5. valve cover gaskets
   6. new front left ARNOTT shock
   7. four wheel alignment
5. Installed MBH headers, belt wrap kit and split intercooler reservoir
6. Right front strut replaced and new Mercedes ABC pump and seal kit installed - all ABC fluids replaced

Mechanically I would call the car a 9+ out of 10.  It runs reliably, is docile around town, but if you step on it, the performance is shocking.  I also have a 2008 911 Turbo and this car is certainly faster than the Porsche.

The exterior and interior are a 7.5 out of 10.  The front of the car has wear and tear from 20K miles of me driving it to and from work plus a few trips to Florida.  There is no PPF on the car so there are a few dozen small rock dings or chips that have been touched up.  I have replaced small parts that have cracked over time (like the front grill recently) but currently the passenger door handle, the driver’s sill, the third brake light and a few other small parts are cracked or broken.  Everything works properly, but if I kept it I would replace those over time.  The roof operates perfectly and have never had any issues with it.  I drive the car weekly and almost alway put the roof down and back up at least once per drive.  There are a few small stains in the carpet and slight creases in the leather, but no cracks or tears.  All of the consumables are in good shape per my last B service report from the Mercedes dealer.  The car has a Pioneer head unit installed by a previous owner that has wired Apple Car Play.  There is an occasional buzz in one of the speakers that I have not taken the time to troubleshoot.  The ABC system works perfectly though if you leave the car parked for several days the suspension will lower and give and ABC warning when you start the car.  Once you hit the button to raise the suspension, the warning goes away and everything works as expected.

Only selling this because I do not have the garage space and between my daily AMG GLC43 and my Porsche, I am rarely driving the SL55.

Asking $39,000 for the car.  Once you see the recent receipts that include the work at Renntech you will know that this is an excellent price.  The car is well sorted and ready for someone to enjoy it for years to come.  Includes two factory keys plus a Hovercraft Weathershield HD car cover.
