Description:
It pains me to do this but I’m listing my 2002 G500 for sale. The car presents well and is a good drivers car. Not perfect but also not a beater/project car. I’d say cosmetically it’s a 7/10 and can be driven as is, or can be fixed up a bit if you want to. I’ve owned this car for the last 6 years and planned on keeping it for a while. Fairly extensive service history during my ownership, including some recent service. Also has some nice/tasteful mods and upgrades.Only selling because I work from home and barely drive, and my significant other needed a more “civilized” car to drive to work. Bought her a new Tesla and our condo only has one covered spot, so unfortunately I have to let the G Wagon go. Only drove the car 30k miles during the 6 years that I owned it.
Asking $21k FIRM. Car already has a lot of stuff sorted out. This leaves the new buyer plenty of funds to restore and repair to their linking. Will list the details and flaws below. Car is located in Seattle area. Please pm me with your contact info if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
*** Flaws ***
- The car has a few electrical issues with the drivers seat, which doesn’t move foreword and backward. Not sure if it’s a bad switch or control module.
- Passenger side seat most likely has a stuck switch that can be replaced or cleaned. Seat motors move in every direction, but the switch sends mixed signals. Assuming it’s a sticky switch because the switch feels gunky and sticky.
- There is no major rust other than a bit of surface rust near the back window seal, and a tad at the bottom of the tail light area. Literally just surface rust. Also some light surface rust on the hinges.
- Sometimes hot air blows out of the drives side air vents. Happens randomly. AC was service and blows cold. Suspected bad climate control unit.
- Right side tail light bulb works intermittently. Turn signals and brake lights work fine. Hazard lights work fine.
- Car has a check engine light from a bad EGR valve. Mechanic stated that I didn’t need to replace this as WA state doesn’t do emissions testing anymore, so I opted to leave it as is and deal with the check engine light.
-Driver side rear window creaks a bit and might need to be replaced at some point in the future. Still moves up and down with no issues.
-Passenger door pocket has some separation at the top corner.
-Minor oil leak from transfer case, valve gaskets, and steering damper. Mechanic said that these issues were fine for now but would need to be addressed at some point in the future.
