2003 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Designo Launch Edition. Only 2000 were ever made. This SL is a rare beast that is in near showroom condition. I am the second owner and this car has always been garage kept and absolutely babied. Before purchasing, I verified the maintenance records of the previous owner. Once purchased, I went through every inch of this car and changed ALL of the fluids and filters. Replaced all plugs, new plug wires, and new ignition coils. Replaced all coolant hoses and thermostat due to age. I also just replaced the two front ABC struts with brand new units. This gorgeous car runs confidently and strongly on any roadway. The top works flawlessly. I replaced the wooden inlays with Genuine MB etched aluminum trim and AMG steering wheel. I will provide the new owner with the original trim pieces and steering wheel. I also mounted a brand new Sebring rear exhaust made exclusively In Austria for this model which brings it an amazing exhaust note throughout the RPM range. It's truly brilliant. The wheels are brand new and don't have a scratch on them. This SL also has the factory Motorola bluetooth phone system which is fully functional. It also has a bluetooth music system which plays either through FM or AUX. There are no issues with the SBC or ABC system. Plus the SBC system is now covered up to 25 years from MBUSA. I recently replace the front brakes with OE discs and Akebono pads and replaced the rear pads with Akebono. The only reason I am selling is that I no longer have room for it. This car is a must see and turns heads with its timeless elegance. Don't let the mileage fool you. The motor and the transmission in this car are bulletproof.
