***sold*** Damaged m157 engine from 2012 CL63 rwd

Selling my engine that I damaged due to injector 5 hanging open and flushing the lubrication from cylinder causing cylinder and piston to overheat and get damaged. I purchased a new motor already but then found out I could of rebuilt this one using Darton sleeves. 800-713-2786. i am not a mechanic and am not able to answer any questions in regards to the rebuild so do your research before you purchase. I am attaching photos of the damage. Motor was removed and dissasembled by local mercedes dealer. also a pic of my car that motor is out of. open to best offers

You are selling a damaged engine for 8k......lol

BadaBingMan 02-07-2019 01:39 PM

yes, I paid almost 25k for the used one I bought. and found out I could of rebuilt this one for a fraction of the cost. this is good for someone who is going to put a ton of hp in this motor and needs it sleeved anyway.

$500 is too much for a 2012 hydraulic locked engine, to break the piston other parts are likely bent or or trashed. 8k keep dreaming for as long as the posting last here is one that runs on ebay for around 8K with a warranty of sorts as well. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-MERCED...P5Hm:rk:8:pf:0

They're not much more than this on Car-part with a decent warranty. 8k seems way excessive to me as well considering how much Mercedes wants for basic parts. GLWS at 8k man..I really think you should rethink your asking price or else this is one expensive paper weight.

you could have paid 5k more and got whole other car lol , comon you paid 25k for an engine on a 2012 car ? That’s stupid

exhaustgases 02-09-2019 12:27 AM

And the one you have is again barely worth $500. If anyone offers you that take it.

If I was going to spend $25k for a, sorry all mb lovers, cheap built stock MB engine. I would have found an outfit to fully machine a billet block, and had someone like bryant make a billet crankshaft and built from there.

from what the dealer told me, no one was able to work on those blocks due to some sort of silicon infusion in the metal. but I now see that you can, I def would of rebuilt it stronger if I knew. for the money I spent on the new motor I could of had a BEAST
