Description:
Up for sale is my 2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 4MATIC. Overall, I'd argue that this is one of the best used luxury cars you can get for under $15,000. It's reliable, decent on gas, meanwhile you get all the features and drivability of a Mercedes E-Class.
I purchased this car 11/2016 from a Doctor at John's Hopkins as a daily driver for the winter months for myself. This car has gotten me through three winters with no issues even without putting snow tires on it.
I specifically chose this model year as it is clear of the dreaded balance shaft sprocket issue that the 06', 07', and even some early 08's were plagued with. On an aside, if I am looking at the W211 (which I always recommend due to the bang for your buck factor) I'd only look at the 09's and late run 08's for the M272 V6 engine.
I have recently purchased an 01 ML55 AMG with the intentions of having it replace this as the winter daily driver. Additionally, I will be looking to move down south so it would not make sense to have two AWD cars in a climate that sees snow maybe once or twice a year.
This car (as evidenced by the pictures) is very clean as I am a Mercedes enthusiast and in general meticulous about how my cars look, drive, smell, and feel. Additionally, this car spent much of it's life being serviced at the dealership with the bulk of work done at Euro Motorcars in Bethesda, Maryland. I still have the VMI (Vehicle Master Inquiry) from Mercedes-Benz from when I purchased it 11/2016.
Since I have owned the car here is what I have done for maintenance:
-Mounted and balanced 4 Kumho Ecsta Platinum LX all season tires @ 83,200 miles
-Installed 4 brand new OEM tire pressure monitors (TPMS) @83,200 miles
-Had 4 OEM AMG 5 spoke wheels professionally refinished @ 83,200 miles
-Had 4 OEM center caps installed @ 83,200 miles
-Had 20 new lug nuts installed @ 83,200 miles
-4 wheel alignment performed @ 83,077
-Note - this car receives alignments every 3 months as I have the Firestone Lifetime alignment
-Had the AC Condenser replaced (Nissens) along with a full recharge of the system @ 81,331 miles
-Oil and filter change (Mobil 1 OW-40 & Mann filter) @ 80,125 miles
-Had the front bumper repainted along with a fix to a crack in the bumper @ 79,112 miles (since these AMG sport bumpers are hard to find)
-Had both the inner axle boots replaced (Genuine OEM Boots) @ 78,651 miles
-Had the following suspension components replaced:
-RF Upper Control Arm replaced (Moog) @ 75,881 miles
-RF & LF Lower Ball Joints replaced (Lemforder) @ 75,881 miles
-LF & RF Tie Rod Ends replaced (Lemforder) @75,881 miles
-Oil and filter change (Mobil 1 OW-40 & Mann filter) @ 74,615 miles
-Replaced the LF seat with a good looking used one from LKQ as my seat was cracked upon purchase @ 72,889 miles
-Replaced both front headlights and installed an aftermarket DDM tuning 6000K HID kit @ 69,340 miles
There are details of previous maintenance at almost every 10,000 mile interval in its CarFax and in the VMI. I will provide a copy of its latest CarFax. The car speaks for itself. Don't waste my time, I'm all set with that. I have over 70 pictures so reach out to me if you'd like to see more. And no, this isn't one of those classic sales where the car looks one way in pictures and totally different in person.
*Pictures were taken two months ago when I thought I would be listing it*
