Description:
1989 Mercedes 300E with 116K miles. I've owned my 300E since 2003. I paid $5,000 back then and I enjoyed driving my car, until the engine started to shake. Color is Black with a Gray MB Tex interior. Wood dash, power windows, door locks, air conditioning, cruise control, original Becker am/fm/ cassette stereo system, alloy wheels, sunroof, dual power seats and tilt wheel.
I drove the car for a couple years, then the engine started to run rough, so I took it to my mechanic. He was going to do a valve job on his off time, to save money on labor. Well, it's been 12 + years and he hasn't got to it. His property manager told him he has to move the car off the parking lot, so I need to get rid of the car.
The good: The interior is in very good condition. Seats are good, wood is good (may have a couple cracks, but good), dash is good, carpeting is good. The body is straight. I had put new Continental tires on the car, just before it had the engine shaking problem, but they're old and should be replaced. Car ran, but hasn't been started in quite a while. Car has the nice stainless steel trim over the wheel wells.
The bad: The paint is going bad. The front turn signal plastic is broken. The valve job was never done. Title is missing, but I have a lost title form.
I'm hoping to recoup $500, but I'm open to offers. My mechanic needs to move the car off his lot. If you would like to see it, I can arrange for him to show it to you. He's in Reseda, CA. I'm also open to selling some parts, if I don't get an offer.

This is the second car I've had to get rid of, because my mechanic is too slow and the property owners want the cars cleared out. The other one was a 1990 300 CE with only 124K miles on it. I wanted to keep the car, but I don't have any room to store it, so off it went to Kars for Kids.
