Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG S 2012 - 2018
Description:

Brand new, in the original packaging, complete Valve Control sport exhaust system by Carlsson for a AMG CLS63, including additional CK63 performance air filters. All parts are 100% brand new, never been used. The exhaust system is a 3 part system with resonator and left and right valve control rear mufflers and tips measuring 120x80mm dual tips.
Air filters are drop in filters and come with additional filter cleaning kit. The exhaust works with the factory rear apron, or should fit most aftermarket diffusers. This system without the filter kit retailed for $6k, other Valve control systems like Brabus were over $9k, and I have seen some non tuner brands for no less than $4k. I am letting go of this system with the filter kit for $2,900.00 OBO. Many of these CLS63 cars are now making their way into second and third hand owners and they want to modify and upgrade these cars, this system is a great value for the quality and brand that it is for these cars, there were only 2 systems that were brought here to the US and this is the last one available. Comes with complete instructions and as the pictures show the part fits with the OEM Rear or aftermarket. Shipping is available at buyers expense.

Thanks for your interest, but I prefer to sell them with the exhaust as they are apart of the CK63 package.
My apologies, but I hope you understand.

2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG S
Hi, I have a 2015 CLS63 S. I do not know a lot about engines and exhausts so excuse the dumb question. I assume this connects to the factory downpipes after the catalytic converters correct? What advantage over the stock exhaust does this provide? Does it have less flow restriction? Sound better? I was always under the impression that either removing the catalytic converter or using a 200 cell catalytic converter will help with sound and horsepower correct? So if I keep the stock downpipes and catalytic converter will this system still make my car sound better and raise hp a little? Thanks in advance.

Still available, absolutely the best value on here for a CLS63. I had two potential buyers that were interested and neither have responded, so I will proceed with continuing my efforts to sell it.

Merry Christmas.
Still have this Valve control exhaust system available...not really going to fit in a stocking, but sure fits great on the CLS 63!

Hi Vince, I just returned from vacation and saw your email and replied, and then saw this, so I sent you a text as well.
So sorry for the delay and late response.

Valve control to be loud or subtle by the press of a button. Again, brand new parts, never been used and packed in original packaging. Best value for performance and fit and finish for a CLS63, made in Germany!

Sorry for offtopic. I'd like to know how their mufflers look from inside. I think in each pair of pipes one goes through the muffler. I guess it's an electric active exhaust, not pressure controlled. I have plans to build a custom valved exhaust for my W219 CLS55 but haven't decided whether to use electric valves or valves controlled by pressure.

The 219 is a completely different engine and setup. As you can see in the photos that the pipes individually go to the mufflers and the valve units for the inner flaps are located at the back portion of the muffler that get connected with vacuum hoses and are electronically engaged from a button inside the car. The valve control exhaust systems were developed for the Turbo engine cars, many of the late model turbo engine vehicles have a Valve control system. The Turbo engines require keeping some back pressure regulated for maximum performance, this is why with some people who thought running straight pipes was great for sound found that there cars lost performance.
For your 219, you are throwing away money to create a project of adding a Valve control system, there are some decent stainless mufflers on the market for those cars that will prove more than worthy and provide decent performance and sound without being too obnoxious or expensive. Hope this helps.

Thank you for reply! I agree with you though I have Meisterschaft GT exhaust with Renntech headers and I experience a drone noise at cruise speed (around 1700-2500 rpm). I'd like to get rid of that noise. That was my only reason to think about valve control exhaust. Also I recently checked available options and unfortunately I don't see many options besides Supersprint. I see Kleemann doesn't offer catback for W219: https://catalog.kleemann.dk/catalog/.../55-amg-m113k/

Making it a valve control option is not going to reduce your low speed drone in the cabin. I would maybe consider adding a pre-muffler section to help with droning. Also maybe check with Renntech to see if they have any suggestions. Also check with the Meisterschaft guys to see if they maybe offer a pre-muffler or perhaps a lower tone rear muffler section? Back in the day with Porsche when we were doing TechArt they offered a standard sport exhaust, and a race version that was super loud...not sure if the Meisterschaft guys have a similar program, but it could not hurt to ask. As for the Valve control option on the later cars it is for full throttle sound that when open they give that extra barking crack, and at low speed and RPM they will sound very similar in tone.
Again, I hope this helps.

Thanks again! I will check if they offer anything. BTW I just learned about Helmholtz resonator which can be built and used to prevent some drone. The only question is fitment. I'm not sure but I think you mean exactly same thing - pre-muffler. It's like an extra cavity on the exhaust pipe which is used to fight with drone noise. PS: my plan was to go back to stock exhaust and to add a valve section which should be activated when RPM goes above 2500. I could probably do a cutout to simplify things. We'll see. But it's definitely a project to me.

No need to thank me. A resonator is precisely what I was talking about in terms of a Pre-muffler "center section" behind the cats before the rear mufflers. By having a high flow performance resonator this will still keep the performance, but help with the droning in the cabin for sure. I would honestly once again not put yourself through the hassle or expense of creating a valve control option, the resonator should do the trick and keep the sound and performance.
