Description:
For sale is a used UPD 3000 High stall torque converter.
Used it for 2 months or so. Purchased it from another memeber. He stated it had very low miles! Going back to stock as planning to sell my cls55 soon.
Here below is the specs and info from UPD.
Fits all 2003 - 2007 V8 and M113K Kompressor models with 722.6 transmissions. This high performance street and strip converter is extremely streetable, suitable for daily driving, flashes only when you want it. Will fit all engines that use the 722.6 transmission. Specs: 278mm / 11" converter diameter Heavy duty bearings and multi-disk lockup clutch Multi-disk clutch increases gas mileage and converter lockup 3000 flash stall 10lbs lighter than factory to reduce rotational mass Increases horsepower and torque through torque multiplication.

Wouldn't that also fit on a 722.9 Tranny? I'm gearing up do a Rear Main Seal leak repair and while I'm in there, I was thinking of swapping the TC. Even though my E63 is Naturally Asperated, I can imagine it adding performance to the already amazing 722.9 Trionic Tranny! I've looked into refurbished TC's for the 722.9 and they show they fit for both 722.6 & 722.9, thus the reason for my question?? Please let me know ASAP?

Ta72 bought this converter from me, and I can confirm it had less than 10 miles on it when he bought it from me a few months ago.
The car was rear-ended on the way home from the MB dealership where this converter and a new trans had just been installed.
