Description:
Up for sale is my Black 2011 W204 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Sedan. I am the second owner of this car and have owned it from 12,671 miles. As it stands at the time of writing this post the car is at 17,269 miles. The first owner of the car was an 80-year-old man down in Newport Beach, California. The car was purchased new in the November of 2010 as a 2011 model year car at Fletcher Jones Motorcars. The car had been driven approximately 1,300 miles a year from 2011 and was in new old stock shape. I purchased it from Park Place LTD in Bellevue, WA on July 30th, 2020. And felt confident in doing so because of their partnership with Mercedes Garage.
The car is in immaculate condition, and the paint quality is like-new. To protect the condition of the paint and keep it looking fresh I had the car professionally ceramic coated 1000 miles into ownership with cQuartz. In my few months of owning the car I’ve had it ceramic coated, had the chrome pieces on the car all professionally wrapped in 3M satin black vinyl, and the badges all wrapped in a translucent black (to make them look like a darker chrome).
I’ve also had the secondary catalytic converters professionally removed to help hear the glorious exhaust tone a little bit more. I did not remove the factory resonator, however, because I didn’t want any drone in the cabin since I use this car exclusively on the highway for longer trips. These are the only changes, mechanical or aesthetic that have been made to the actual car. Slight, tasteful tweaks to help accentuate the great work the engineers at AMG had already done to create such a brilliant machine.
The car is specced with the optional rear-view camera, rain-sensing windshield wipers, Satellite Radio, rear automatic sunshade, premium Harmon Kardon sound system, heated seats, keyless-go, navigation, fog lights, and the highly sought-after front sport seats.
The M156 motor in this car is one of AMG’s most sought-after engines and produces some of the most glorious sounds and power delivery. The best part is that the head bolt issues that affected the M156 motors with serial numbers up to 569xx 60 060658 do not affect this car. This one is 56985 60 063716. After Mercedes fixed this potentially catastrophic issue.
I had a check-engine light come on a few weeks ago and am frantic about making sure that my cars are absolutely perfect. I took it in to Mercedes Garage in Bellevue to diagnose and correct any issues. Mercedes Garage is known for its excellent service, but also for being where ASE Master tech, Adam Takayoshi works on cars. While Adam didn’t work on my car, it’s telling to know that Mercedes Garage is where he chooses to work. As it turns out, because the car had not been driven much in its 10-year history, the rubber intake manifold gasket had simply deteriorated over time and needed to be replaced. The gasket was replaced, the car tested, and the paperwork signed off on. The car has been perfect since!
In addition, I am also the kind of person to proactively and preemptively service to make sure the car is running at the top of its game. I took the car to Mercedes Garage about 2 weeks ago to get an oil and filter change 4500-ish miles after its last one. This might be a little bit much, but I like to make sure everything is done well before its time. The car comes with a coupon for one free oil and filter change at Mercedes Garage to the next owner.
As mentioned, the car is in excellent condition. The ceramic coat has kept it looking brand new, and I regularly hand wash the car with the finest Griots products. There are a couple minuscule rock chips on the front bumper (shown next Tony index finger), as well as a tiny nick, about the width of a fingernail on the rear bumper (also shown next to my index finger). I’ve tried to take as many detail shots to show these as accurately as possible.
Of the 4 original 5-spoke Mercedes AMG wheels, two were slightly curbed a couple months ago in the Wallingford neighborhood in Seattle as I was trying to park and wasn’t able to see exactly where the curb was. This is the only harm I’ve let come to the car during my ownership, and regrettably so. I also recently purchased a set of 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 HRE FF11 Wheels in their brushed gold colorway, which are on an additional set of Michelin PS4 tires. This wheel and tire setup has about 1000 miles on it at the moment.
I’ve taken a lot of care of this car and absolutely love it, but due to personal reasons, I need to let it go. I imagine I’m going to regret this in the near future, but at the moment I’m looking for someone else who will love it and enjoy driving it as much as I have during my ownership.
I have the original service booklet in its Mercedes Leather pouch. The untouched and never opened roadside service kit with it’s never-worn white Mercedes AMG gloves, as well as the spare wheel and tire.
I am looking to sell the car on its original AMG 5-spoke wheels but am happy to throw-in the HRE wheel setup in addition for an added price. Please feel free to reach out either here via email, or text message
I have the clean CARFAX on hand for anyone who'd like to look at it.
