Description:
This is a very well cared for, very used car, that still drives well, and everything works. The Michelin tires are only half worn and provide excellent traction. The disk brake pads are 3/4 new in the front, and estimated less than 1/2 worn in the back. Air Conditioning is ice cold heating is toasty hot, sun roof is fully operational.
Everything that should work does.
Has 6 disc CD player, and cassette player.
What doesn’t work? One speaker remains functional and the volume control on the radio is stubborn to raise or lower the volume. The outdoor Temperature sensor is no longer accurate.
When at full operation temperature, reverse is faint and can’t move the car backwards (all forward gears and operation are fully functional). When cold or cool, reverse still engages and moves the car backwards.
Can make a great train station car or “beater” for someone willing to repair or replace the transmission, for which I was given a a rebuild estimate of 1,500
My thought is, It would make a good value for someone handy to repair for a new driver in their household. I'd like to keep it, but I have 5 Mercedes in my garage and driveway, so I'm hopeful someone nearby will see the value in keeping this old gal alive, and on the road. Thank you for considering.
