I just missed an auction on BaT for a 1980 280E in the color spec that I want so I am turning to the forums to see if they can help me find one.
Backstory: My grandpa imported a 1983 280E sedan from Germany in the mid 80s. Our entire family used that car so whenever I see one it brings back nostalgia. In the early 2000s he totaled it, unfortunately. I’d like to try and find one in his specific spec (silver on blue MB Tex) as a garage queen he can look at and remind himself of the past.
Car does not have to be an accident free vehicle but I’d like it to be presentable and in driving condition. I am expecting mileage to be over 100K and does not have to be show room low mileage condition.

I was also closely watching that 280E that sold on BaT as it is close to my preferred color/spec, and it appears to have gone to a flipper (lame):
