No brackets needed. If I'm assessing it correctly, it fits into holes pre-punched into the sheet metal in the 'roof' of the trunk. I'll try to post some photos of the mounting points after work today.

Photos of mounting points. Not my car, just something I ran across at the junkyard that jogged my memory to take photos.
These are the two points furthest "in" to the trunk, toward the front of the car:
The rear, closest to the trunk lid, consist of 2 keyhole-shaped cutouts in the sheet metal that look like this:
The one on the right side of the car is on a horizontal surface near my finger. The one on the left is similar, but on the left.
