    Hi there, I never had any issues removing the face. I cleaned the bolt threads and then re-applied red loctite. I also sealed the face to the wheel by applying a bead of clear high temp silicone.

    Hello. I found your old post for help. I just bought an 06 SL55 AMG with silver two piece wheels. They need some help. I refinished my old BBK RKII wheels a few years ago and used the same bolts with 20lb. torque after reassembly. I read on post that the 19" Cromodora wheels are not meant to be split. Apparently the bolts are glued to stay on permanently with Locktite. Heat can take of that but, I want to chat with someone that has done this before I start. Randy
