I purchased an 09 C63 2yr ago with low mileage in the late 60k range. The car is originally from Canada. I love the car and currently have 78k miles on it. It has no issues. I stumbled upon the issue with early design M156 head bolts while researching something else and I have to say I'm concerned. My VIN is WDDGF77X19F261923 and my engine number is 15698560039910 so it appears I have an early engine from the effected group. I would appreciate your opinion.
1. Can the head bolts be replaced prior to a failure without pulling the heads(One at a time back to torque in a sequence) or are they likely already so weak that the head will pop off upon removal if it hasn't already failed?
2. Do you have any statistics regarding failures like I have an x% chance of a failure based on know failures compared to known engines with the issue?
