    This is a photo of the failed Supercharger (kompressor) clutch bearing from my SL55. It is one of the maladies us 55k guys have to keep an eye on. You can search the forum and get tons of info on it. You might pull the front cover and inspect the serpentine belt and have a look at the clutch bearing once in awhile. You should not be able to see the ball bearings in the raceways.
