Hello Oxygen, I was wondering if you could offer me some help. I purchased a 2002 CL55 and a week later I noticed the front would drop low when parked. Once I started the car it would raise with no problem. about 2 or 3 weeks later it stop dropping when parked. Yesterday I got the "drive slowly message" so I turned the car off, came back it was cleared. Today when i started the car the message was white then red saying drive slowly so I popped the hood and around the reservoir cap and dipstick it look like some fluid had come out but i could not tell from where, the dipstick or the cap. I checked the dipstick to see the fluid level and it was right under the bottom cut in the stick. I'm not sure what level the oil should be at ..at what point, engine off or on etc. So I was wondering could it be that my oil is low because the cap wasn't on tight for some reason and if it is low how can I tell? Thanks so much for your help, you really seem like a professional with these issues!

If you are still active at all on this site please get back to me. I have some questions on the ABC of course.

Would it be cost effective to preemptively update the ABC valves and lines on my 2003 cl55 with 55k miles. It only sags in the rear after being parked for about a week and a half.
I am in Michigan and bringing it to you is not an issue.

    Hello,

I read your posts about ABC and wanted to ask if you could share the part numbers for ABC pump and hydraulic lines for the CL 600 (2003). Somewhere on the forum, I read that hydralic lines come in different ratings and that "higher rated" are recommended.

    Thank you in advance

Hey oxygen. your car looks nice. I was just wondering, would'nt it have been cheaper to just purchase an s65? You certainly did a great deal of upgrades. I am just wondering the thought process, is the 5.5 block stronger? My cl65 was only about 6k more than a cl55 at auction....

Hey Oxygen. Looks to me like you are the man when it comes to MB maintenance and ABC in particular. I just had an incident with my 04 SL500. Car has 102K, runs and looks great but while visiting a friends house this morning i noticed that there was an oil leak in front of the LT front tire. I opened the hood and saw that the reservoir directly above the tire had blown the cap and dipstick out making a mess in the engine compartment and obviously on the ground. Now my dash says (in red letters) "ABC , drive careful" Also, there was a gurggling noise (like boiling or bubbling) coming from the engine when I noticed the leak. Help!!!!!! Thanks!!!

    Oxygen,
When you had your black S500, how did you go about getting your front, chrome grille to black? Just use a quality indy body shop?
    Thanks.

    Oxygen,

I am also on Long Island and I need help from a local. I have a CL600 2001, Car looks great inside and out, looks brand new black beauty with only 45K miles on it. Mechanically I have some major issues. I got the infamous ABC ACTIVE BODY CONTROL visit workshop message, brought to dealer, says there is a leak in the line $3,800 to fix, plus need new struts, 4K, Oil Leak 5K, and a few other things total around $15K, With all this car still drives great. Car spends most of the time in my garage avg 2000 miles a year. Can not see putting $15 K in this car , but hate to get rid of it.

Looking for someone to fix or take off my hands , Do you know someone local that would like to take on a project and fix this for me at a reasonable price. I am in Melville.
